The objective of this project was to develop a fictional beverage product series with an AR-experience launched from a touchpoint on the can. I developed Sequence, an 80s themed energy drink for a nostalgia throwback.

Concept
My concept for this project was to develop an energy drink that was lively, very different from the existing energy drink market, and nostalgic. Sequence was born for people reminiscing on the '80s who enjoy the energetic and technological vibe.
Brand Identity
I chose the name Sequence as the brand name because it was both rhythmic and technological like the 80s. The color palette was neon and vibrant, so the can could stand out under UV lighting while the typography was geometric in nature. As for the stylization on the can, I developed minimalistic, broken down shapes that felt abstract yet pop enough to mimic '80s graphics.

AR Experience Planning




The AR experience would be launched from scanning the artwork on the front of the can to unveil an '80s concert just for the viewer. Upon conclusion, two links would pop up: an Instagram story invitation and an '80s Spotify playlist to continue the party.
[Side note: I created this experience in Adobe Aero and timed each animation to a beat in an '80s sounding song. It took me over 12 hours to complete this!]
